We were approached by the directors before company formation, having been introduced to them through other business ventures. We worked closely with the directors on the company formation, including drafting an extensive shareholders agreement and business proposal with financial projections as well as helping the Company implement an employee handbook and a full range of internal policies to ensure they stay compliant.
On formation of the Company we ran their back office operations, from timesheet and invoice processing to management accounting functions. As the Company grew, we implemented processes and controls in order to pass this work back to their own internal staff with our support.
As the industry has changed, with new legislation affecting the business and its clients, we have worked extensively with the Company to develop a new offering for both their clients and work force. This includes drafting and reviewing service contracts, contracts of employment, processes and internal controls.
The Company has now grown to a projected turnover of £15 million in their sixth year of trading, up from £1.3 million in year one. We are now working with the Company on investing their profits and increasing their infrastructure to help the Company with its exponential growth as well as getting the Company through its annual audit.

After working with the Company back in 2010 on some bookkeeping work pre accounts preparation, we began a project to refine their Sage 50 financial system and help improve their accounting systems. The change was focused on being able to extract more data from their bookkeeping system to help the business monitor their finances in more detail. We also made the accounting processes more efficient and put controls in place.
After helping to train up their office manager to use the system, we implemented monthly management accounts to give the management team the information they needed to help make decisions and to set targets for the business and its employees. We worked closely with the proprietor to ensure the information provided was the most relevant, changing the reports as the businesses needs evolved.
The business is now thriving and enjoying its success with a streamlined accounting function.
